Sherrill Statement on the Death of Sgt. William Jerome Rivers

Livingston, NJ — Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill, Navy veteran and member of the House Armed Services Committee, released the following statement about the death of Sgt. William Jerome Rivers:

“Today, New Jersey mourns the loss of Sgt. William Jerome Rivers. All across the world –  including at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst – he served with honor and committed his life to defending our democracy. I send my deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues.

“America is indebted to the sacrifices of Sgt. Rivers, Spc. Kennedy Ladon Sanders, and Spc. Breonna Alexsondria Moffett. We will never forget their bravery and dedication to our country.”
