“Staying True to Blue” is the theme of the 52nd annual Convention of the National Federation of Democratic Women, being held at the Hilton Riverside Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana  on June 8-10, 2023.

“All Democratic women are invited to join us in the ‘Big Easy,’” said Margaret Weinberger, President of New Jersey’s Federation of Democratic Women (NJFDW), “and we encourage you to register early.” Online registration is available at www.nfdw.com.

The National Federation of Democratic Women (NFDW) empowers women in over 30 states and in Washington DC and Puerto Rico. New Jersey’s own Federation has 13 county chapters for women to meet, strategize, share information, and support the national party platform.

“We’re active in making phone calls, letter writing, and fundraising,” said Weinberger. “We assist our Democratic women involved in their local, state, and national campaigns and events.”  The NJFDW in 2022 helped elect Democratic women throughout the state, while also providing support for key elections in Georgia and Wisconsin.

The 2023 NFDW national convention is hosted by the Louisiana Federation of Democratic Women.  Highlights include workshops, regional meetings, luncheons, a dinner cruise banquet, and optional tours of New Orleans and Mardi Gras World.   “Please join us,” said Weinberger, “for a wonderful and fun convention in NOLA this spring.”
