Sotomayor-Einstein Statement In Response To Hudson County GOP Committee

Rather than spend time making the case for Republican campaigns or fundraising for his own GOP candidates in Hudson County, Jose Arango has once again rushed to defend one of his Hudson County Democrat masters. In the op-ed, Arango who holds a decades-long job in Jersey City government (many believe to be low-to-no-show) and the de facto role of the Hudson Democrat’s pet Republican, defends ultra-liberal Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop despite his August 30th attack on the GOP.

Arango pretends the Fulop campaign statement that President Trump “plunged our country into four years of chaos, cruelty, mismanagement and corruption,” isn’t attacking the GOP. Then again, for years Arango has pretended he is a Republican when in fact, he has a long documented history of working for the Hudson County Democrat Machine (see here for a more recent documentation). Highlighting the truth – that Fulop attacked the Republican Party – is standing up for the GOP, not as Arango states, “allying with progressives.”

Arango may have trouble recognizing the truth, but nowhere in the op-ed he is allegedly responding to  does this essayist or his co-author advocate voting for Fulop’s Jersey City mayoral opponent, Lewis Spears. Rather what the authors were doing is what all Republican leaders should be – confronting the lies of left-wing politicians. Moreover, Arango ignores the meat of the op-ed he feigns a response to – that Fulop is seemingly continuing the time dis-honored tradition of white Democrat politicians telling minorities how they must vote, who they must support, and that they are not allowed to be Republican.

The sad reality is that this is not the first time, nor will it likely be the last, a Hudson Democrat orders Arango to advance the agenda of the left-wing political machine. For example in 2019, Arango (who laughably argues actual Republican advocates are secret leftists) sent out mailers for the Jersey School Board slate backed by Fulop using GOP funds. This slate had zero Republicans and included a candidate so extremely leftwing and bigoted that she was suspended by Governor Murphy in 2018 for making discriminatory remarks about Republicans and Evangelical Christians. Though widely covered, less than a year after her attacks on the GOP and a sect of Christianity, Arango not only endorsed her in his position as GOP County Chair but spent Republican money supporting her election.

While Arango may have a low-to-no-show job on the taxpayer dime in Jersey City government, it’s clear he has zero to no commitment to the GOP other than to use his position as a County GOP Chairman to help his Democrat masters. While this essayist has penned dozens of published op-eds in numerous newspapers on the dangers of the leftist totalitarianism, progressivism, and Democrat Party policies (including those of the tax raising Mayor Fulop whom Arango loves), Arango only ever opens his mouth in defense and support of Democrats.

Although it is obviously insulting to actual Republicans that Arango works to empower Democrats against the interests of the Republican Party he pantomimes leadership in, the more stinging insult – that he would defend Jersey City Mayor Fulop’s attack on President Trump and the GOP bring the point to a head. Rather than join the authors of the op-ed he is responding to, who include the President of the Hispanic Republicans of North Jersey, in denouncing the bigotry and racism inherent in Fulop implying minority Americans are not allowed to be (or ever have been) Republicans, Arango once again takes a knee for Republican values and rushes to the defense of the Democrats he serves.
