Camden, NJ – South Jersey Young Democrats, the leading voice for young democrats across South Jersey, is proud to endorse 21 young Democratic candidates under the age of 40 and support 21 candidates ages 41 and over.

“The South Jersey Young Democrats are pleased to announce our endorsements and supported candidates for the upcoming November 7 elections. South Jersey has some of the most diverse set of Democratic candidates in the State. If Democrats in New Jersey want to build on their majorities in the state legislature and pick up seats in local governments, then look no further than South Jersey. We look forward to winning up and down the ballot this November,” said SJYD President, Shaun O’Connor.
SJYD is the Garden State’s largest democratic youth chapter, including members from a total of six counties: Cape May, Cumberland, Camden, Salem, Gloucester and Atlantic counties. We are led by an executive board composed of young people and young people of color who are building the next generation of decision makers in Southern New Jersey.

SJYD endorsements were open to all Democratic candidates within the six counties that encompass our chapter under the age of 40. Support from the SJYD is given to any Democratic candidates over 41 who are in good standing.

“We continue to encourage the young people of South Jersey to get involved in their communities, share their stories and provide them with the resources to build movements that center young people’s voices and experiences in policies, politics and government,” said SJYD Vice President, Casey Haddox. “We are so proud to support and endorse candidates who are unapologetically paving the way for New Jersey government and politics to reflect the diverse communities of South Jersey and advocate for those whose voices are not heard.
