Speaker Coughlin Statement on 2020 Census

(TRENTON) – Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin (D-Middlesex) issued the following statement on the 2020 census:

“Today marks one year until the 2020 census. Over the course of this next year, it is critical that we communicate to the public the facts about the census and the benefits of completing it. The New Jersey Complete Count Commission which includes me and other members of the Legislature will develop, recommend, and assist in the administration of a census outreach strategy to encourage full participation in the 2020 federal decennial census of population. We want people to participate in the census and must ensure all are counted. I look forward to speaking with residents in my district and others to educate them about the importance of the 2020 census.”
