Speaker Coughlin Statement on Governor’s Decision to Release Remaining Funds Frozen in State Budget

 

(TRENTON) – In response to the Murphy Administration’s announcement that it is releasing the remaining $121 million dollars in funds frozen by the Governor when he signed the State Budget in June, Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin (D-Middlesex) issued the following statement:

 

“The legislature was confident in the budget we delivered and in our revenue projections. As a legislative body, we passed a responsible budget with the appropriate revenue estimates. We are pleased the Governor has released the funds that will be used to support critical programs and services that improve the lives of New Jerseyans.”
