Speaker Coughlin Statement on Rutgers Strike
(TRENTON) – Assembly Speaker Craig J. Coughlin (D-Middlesex) issued the following statement on the Rutgers strike:
“At a world class educational institution such as Rutgers, professors, teaching faculty and all staff must be treated fairly and with respect to ensure students are provided the best possible educational opportunity. I am disappointed Rutgers has not concluded an agreement with its unions. I remain committed to the collective bargaining process to ensure an equitable future for our working families. I am pleased to see Governor Murphy bring everyone to the table at this critical time of the school year for students, and I urge all sides to remain at the table until a deal is reached.”
