Stark & Stark Announces Ruben D. Perez, Esq., Joins Firm

The law firm of Stark & Stark announced Ruben D. Perez, Esq., has joined its Real Estate, Zoning & Land Use and Banking & Financial Services groups. He specializes in representing developers, landowners, lenders and individuals.

“Ruben Perez brings a broad range of experience to our firm,” said Stark & Stark Managing Shareholder Michael G. Donahue. “His work as both counsel to New Jersey municipalities and representing real estate parties will be an excellent addition to Stark & Stark.”

Mr. Perez has advised clients on issues pertaining to real estate acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, redevelopment projects, tax abatements and appeals, local governance, zoning appeals and affordable housing litigation. He additionally has served as counsel to local public entitles, public officials, an historic preservation commission and NJ municipalities, focusing on matters regarding development, redevelopment, land use, utilities law, municipal law and real estate.

Stark & Stark’s new attorney is a member of the Bar in New York, New Jersey and the U.S. District Court of New Jersey. Previously he served as a Global Investigations Project Manager for a NYC-based company, where he led and supported internal investigations conducted in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Mr. Perez is a graduate of the University of Michigan and the Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law, where he was President of the Latin American Law Students Association and was a Criminal Law Dean’s Scholar.
