State Assembly Candidate, Eliot Arlo Colon, Endorses the New Jersey State PBA (NJSPBA)
State Assembly Candidate, Eliot Arlo Colon, Endorses the New Jersey State PBA (NJSPBA)
Eliot Arlo Colon, Candidate for State Assembly, Campaign Team was informed this past week that the New Jersey State PBA (NJSPBA) has likely already made its decision on who they were endorsing for State Assembly in District 30. The presumption is that Eliot Arlo Colon was not chosen since formal interview of Colon for endorsement has not yet taken place.
“Although I am deeply disappointed that the NJSPBA endorsement would take place before fully vetting and meeting all the candidates, I can say that I continue to have the utmost respect for the NJSPBA as well as for all New Jersey Law Enforcement, and my Campaign fully endorses and supports the NJSPBA wholeheartedly.” Says Colon.
Colon continued, saying, “Perhaps they will reconsider and meet with me? I am certain they will find no more supportive State Assembly Candidate for NJSPBA causes and to all New Jersey Law Enforcement.”
Colon has overseen extensive security and safety enhancements during his time as Board of Education President for the Brielle Township school. Some of enhancements included new security cameras, security enhanced windows, panic buttons throughout the school, new locks that ensure an added level of safety, and working closely with local police officials. Colon’s father is retired New Brunswick Police Officer and long-time FOP member. Colon actively supports C.O.P.S (Concerns of Police Survivors).
“I have witnessed ‘first hand’ the sacrifice law enforcement makes to ensure we are all safe and protected. And with that I have also witnessed examples of how law enforcement is taken for granted in New Jersey and thus why I feel passionate in my support.” Colon continues, “In the end, it is about action, not endorsement, that defines character and my actions will always be supportive of NJ law enforcement”. Colon concluded.
The general election for NJ Assembly is on November 7, 2017 in which Colon is battling against incumbents, Sean T. Kean and party installed incumbent, Ned Thomson, who was named David Rible’s replacement as Assemblymen after his resignation to serve as the Director of the NJ ABC in June 2017.
