State Senate Candidate Scott Pollack Wishes to Focus on Empowering the Formerly Incarcerated

For Immediate Release

Montclair, NJ – District 34 State Senate Candidate Scott Pollack issued the following statement on providing opportunities to the formerly incarcerated as they are released from prison.

“I am a strong believer that New Jersey needs to do more to empower and provide economic opportunities to the formerly incarcerated when they are released from prison to better integrate them back into society and limit the likelihood of re-offending”, stated Pollack, “Our state can do more in in this area which is why I am a strong supporter to teaching the financial literacy and other job skills, and instilling a business sense while they are serving so they can hit the ground running upon release.”

“While my opponent remains silent on this issue, I have clear track record, having worked with groups such as the First Step Alliance, and I look forward to implementing their goals once elected to the State Senate”, continued Pollack.

“Scott Pollack is a tireless advocate for disadvantaged individuals, particularly those who have been impacted by the criminal justice system. He is committed to ensuring formerly incarcerated people have every opportunity to rebuild their lives after they are released, stated Nancy Eiden, Board Member of First Step Alliance, a New Jersey 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. “At First Step Alliance, our goal is to advance successful reentry through improved access to financial education and banking services to help returning citizens create a path to sustainable financial independence. We are confident that Scott Pollack shares our vision and will help raise awareness in the State Senate and help remove barriers to economic equality.”

Pollack is active throughout his community of Montclair, where he is financial planner and actively involved in his community supporting various causes.
