State Senator Troy Singleton will partner with Feeding our Heroes to host a Burlington County Veterans Appreciation Dinner

Moorestown – State Senator Troy Singleton will partner with Feeding our Heroes to host a Burlington County Veterans Appreciation Dinner. The Dinner will take place on Wednesday, October 2nd at 5pm at the Delran VFW Post 3020, 1125 S. Fairview Street.

In addition to a free meal, the Veterans Appreciation Dinner will feature various resource partners to connect with and assist veterans, including: Virtua Health, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Cooper-Deborah HeroCare Connect, Burlington County Veteran Services and Human Services, Garden State Community Outreach, as well as other non-profits. In addition, veterans will be able to obtain assistance from the New Jersey Division of Taxation with filing their Anchor property tax benefit as well as receive information about the Senior Freeze program.

“Honoring and recognizing our veterans is not just about praising them on Veterans Day, but also about keeping them in the forefront of our thoughts every day,” said Senator Singleton. “For that reason, I am proud to partner with Feeding our Heroes to host this Veterans Appreciation Dinner. Providing a forum for non-profits and government agencies to connect directly with and assist veterans will help to ensure they have access to and are aware of all the resources that are available to them.”

Registration for the event will be required as seating is limited. You can register today at https://www.troysingleton.com/feedingheroes. For more information, please contact Nisha Ray, (856) 234-2790 or via email at sray@njleg.org.

About Feeding our Heroes: Starting in 2005 with a simple idea of restoring a local food institution, Feeding our Heroes founder Michael Guinta purchased Bayway Diner. After receiving national recognition by airing on the Food Network’s Diners, Drive- ins, and Dives, Bayway Diner expanded into Bayway Catering. Now occupying a corporate cafeteria and serving 900+ workers each day, Bayway Catering realized the opportunity to give back to those who serve us in times of need by starting the NJ food charity, Feeding Our Heroes. Since its inception in 2021, Feeding Our Heroes has fed thousands of veterans using several different programs that have supported first responders through disaster relief. Feeding Our Heroes’ mission is to celebrate our local heroes, salute our military personnel and veterans and improve awareness around food insecurity in the community.
