Statement by Congressman Kim on the Bipartisan Passage of
Special Counsel Transparency Concurrent Resolution

WASHINGTON, DC – The following is a statement from Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-03) on the passage of H.Con.Res 24:

“Facts aren’t partisan. The American people deserve the full truth in any investigation of wrongdoing by our public officials. I am proud to have voted with Democrats and 190 Republicans to let in more sunlight to disinfect potential corruption within our system.”

H.Con.Res 24 calls on the Department of Justice to make any report, including findings submitted by Special Counsel Mueller, to the Attorney General available to the public and to Congress upon the conclusion of the Special Counsel’s investigation.

This Concurrent Resolution passed during Sunshine Week, a week dedicated to transparent and open government. In addition to H.Con.Res 24, Congressman Kim also voted to pass a variety of measures that increase transparency and accountability for corruption in government and corporate finance activity by the Russian government.
