STATEMENT FROM GOUTAM JOIS ON GOP TAX PLAN

New Jersey Seventh Congressional District candidate Goutam Jois issued the following statement after Republicans in the House passed a tax plan which cuts taxes for billionaires and hurts middle class families, especially in the 7th Congressional District.

“This tax scam which will raise taxes on the middle class to give huge tax cuts to billionaires is just as much Congressman Lance’s as it is Paul Ryan’s and Donald Trump’s. The most important vote Congressman Lance cast was on day one for Paul Ryan to set the agenda as Speaker of the House. Rep. Lance knew exactly who he was voting for, since Paul Ryan has made no secret of his vision for a trickle down tax plan that gives huge tax cuts to corporations and the wealthy. Today that vision is one step closer to reality, and the voters of our district will remember in November who enabled this assault on the middle class.”
