We are profoundly disappointed in Governor Phil Murphy and the New Jersey Democratic Party today. We have been advocating for the inclusion of a member of the Latinx community, specifically a Latina, on the New Jersey Legislative Reapportionment Commission for months, including as recently as Friday in a letter to Democratic leaders throughout the state.  Our calls for equity and fairness were simply ignored.  As a result, 20% of the state population will not be represented in drawing the lines that will dictate lawmaking and representation in New Jersey for the next decade.
