Statement by Mayor W. Reed Gusciora on the Passing
of Trenton Police Sgt. Daniel Pagnotta III

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of Trenton Police Sgt. Daniel Pagnotta III. Dan, who passed away in Plainsboro on Wednesday morning, was a devoted husband and father of two who loved soccer and making people laugh. Beloved by everyone in the Trenton Police Department, he was devoted to Trenton and police work from the time he joined the force after graduating from the police academy in 1999. Dan’s dad, Dan, Sr., is a retired Trenton police officer, and Dan was proud to continue a legacy of law enforcement in his family. Dan and his family are on our minds and in our hearts. He will be dearly missed
