STATEMENT FROM PROBLEM SOLVERS CAUCUS CO-CHAIRS TOM REED (NY-23) & JOSH GOTTHEIMER (NJ-5) ON ONGOING COVID-19 RELIEF NEGOTIATIONS

WASHINGTON, D.C . – Today, Problem Solvers Caucus Co-Chairs Tom Reed (NY-23) & Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) released the following statement on the ongoing COVID-19 relief negotiations:

“As Speaker Pelosi and Secretary Mnuchin continue COVID-19 relief negotiations today and into the weekend, we encourage all parties, including House leadership, Senate leadership, and the White House to stay at the table and prioritize a comprehensive, bipartisan package that can swiftly pass both chambers of Congress.

There are at least 50 bipartisan members of The Problem Solvers and Congress who know this deal can get done and support the efforts of Speaker Pelosi and Secretary Mnuchin.

So we will keep working to do our part to move the conversation forward because inaction has real consequences.

Every day we let partisanship delay us is another day American families, businesses, and local communities do not have access to the critical relief they need and deserve.”
