Statement from Senator Greenstein on the Hamilton Township House Collapse

Trenton – Senate Law & Public Safety Committee Chairwoman Linda R. Greenstein (D-Mercer/Middlesex) issued the following statement on the house collapse in Hamilton Township Monday.

My heart goes out to the family of Tika Justice, the mother killed in a horrific house collapse in Hamilton Township Monday. She was found shielding the body of one her two daughters, a testament to a mother’s heroic love of her children. I hope both her daughters rescued from the rubble fully recover from their injuries.

I also want to express my gratitude to police, firefighters and all the first-responders who arrived at the scene quickly. Going forward, we need a thorough investigation into how this home collapsed. But for now, my thoughts are with the grieving family.
