Statement from Sussex County Democratic Committee Chairwoman Katie Rotondi Endorsing Chairman Currie

Katie Rotondi, the new chair of the Sussex County Democrats, feels the best way – perhaps the only way – to build the Democratic party in conservative Sussex County is by making progress town-by-town. She hopes local Democratic municipal candidates can make inroads in a handful of towns this fall.

Statement from Sussex County Democratic Committee Chairwoman Katie Rotondi Endorsing Chairman Currie

SUSSEX COUNTY, N.J. — Newly elected Sussex County Democratic Committee Chairwoman Katie Rotondi is releasing the following statement in support of NJDSC Chairman John Currie and Vice Chair Peg Schaffer for a new term leading the party forward:

“Democrats across the country have spent the past three years working collaboratively with grassroots supporters to unify our party for the common good of our nation. Here in New Jersey, we have proven what can be accomplished as an organization committed to strong Democratic values. Governor Phil Murphy, Chairman John Currie and Vice Chair Peg Schaffer have all played an instrumental role in building stronger and fairer communities for everyone who calls our state home. It would be easy to overlook a rural and red county like ours, but their inclusive leadership has aided in fostering the substantial growth of Democrats in Sussex and in our ability to elect more Democrats in an area of the state where it is incredibly challenging to do so. I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside them as the Chairwoman of Sussex County Young Democrats and I’m looking forward to supporting them in every way possible as the newly elected Chairwoman of the Sussex County Democratic Committee.”
