STATEWIDE — May Day 2018–A massive mobilization of grassroots activists is planned across the state to push for expanding access to driver’s licenses for more residents including undocumented immigrants, seniors, victims of violence, and members of the LGBTQ community. Activists will join morning commuters at train stations and other commuter hubs at over 25 locations to collect 5,000 signatures for postcards to urge legislators to support expanding access to driver’s licenses.

Expanded access to driver’s licenses is expected to benefit to all New Jerseyans through increased road safety, a boost to New Jersey’s economy through collection of fees and insurance payments, and increase the well-being of communities by decreasing the risk of family separation.
