Statewide New Jersey Progressive Leaders Join Together to Show Broad Support for Brigid Callahan Harrison for Congress.
[May 15, 2020 – Longport, New Jersey] On the heels of powerful endorsements from New Jersey progressive leaders Gordon MacInnes, Susie Wilson, and Irene Goldman, a diverse group of activists throughout the state of New Jersey including Professor Frank N. von Hippel, The Rev. Robert Moore, and Dolores Phillips have come together today to announce their support for Brigid Callahan Harrison for Congress.  The following is a joint statement:

“This primary election is not just about selecting the best Democrat to take on Jeff Van Drew, it must also be about finding the candidate that is right on the issues.  In reviewing her policies, understanding her convictions, and tracking her long dedication to public policy and community activism, it is clear that Brigid Harrison is the best Democratic candidate to for the Congressional nomination in New Jersey’s 2nd Congressional District.

“We are joining together today because issues matter, especially in this election.  Brigid brings more than just a deep understanding to policy, her positions on the issues are clearly in line with our values and priorities – and that is why we are supporting her.  This is the time when we all must dig deep, research the candidates, and ask questions.  And for the sake of the Democratic party and our progressive stances on issues, we must come together to support Brigid.
