Stephanie Schmid Endorsed by BlueWaveNJ
Stephanie Schmid, Democrat for Congress in NJ-04, has been endorsed by BlueWaveNJ, a grassroots organization working to protect and improve the rights, opportunities, and quality of life of all people through direct advocacy, public education on critical issues, and community mobilization.
BlueWaveNJ issued the following statement: “The district needs new leadership, and that is why BlueWaveNJ enthusiastically endorses Stephanie Schmid. Candidate Schmid holds an impressive resume as a foreign service officer and diplomat for the U.S. Department of State and as a human rights attorney and advocate. In-office, Schmid will focus on securing affordable healthcare for every American, protecting women’s reproductive rights, combating climate change, passing gun safety reforms, and ensuring every child has access to pre-K and early learning programs. Her record of service and the contrast of her priorities from her opponents shows an individual who will be an advocate for BlueWaveNJ’s goals. She faces a tight race, but Schmid is a strong candidate that represents the best chance to flip the 4th Congressional District blue.”
Stephanie is thrilled to have earned this endorsement from BlueWaveNJ. “It is an honor to have the support of BlueWaveNJ, particularly since I am the only challenger they have endorsed so far this cycle. We share a commitment to uplifting our communities and providing critical election information to people throughout our state,” Stephanie said. “My campaign is powered by grassroots supporters across our district, our state, and our country and we are not accepting any corporate PAC or fossil fuel money. Earning BlueWaveNJ’s endorsement will help us continue to build our momentum and grow our grassroots support so that we can finally bring new leadership to New Jersey’s 4th Congressional District for the first time in 40 years.”
Stephanie is a New Jersey native, a retired U.S. Foreign Service Officer and Diplomat who served our country overseas on behalf of the U.S. Department of State, and a human rights litigation attorney and advocate.
