Strong Turnout For Republicans in LD16
Signals Momentum Shift

For Immediate Release

Somerville, NJ
 –  Candidates for the legislature in New Jersey’s 16th district, Mike Pappas, Vinny Panico, and Joe Lukac are shifting into gear for the general after seizing the momentum following last night’s Primary election where Republicans turned out more voters and a far greater percentage of their party for the LD16 Race than the Democrats by a margin of 23.5% to 14.3%.

“It’s clear that the people of the 16th Legislative District are ready for change,” said former Congressman Mike Pappas. “They’re hurting, and our opponents have done nothing but hold photo-ops, rubber stamp Murphy’s extreme agenda, and degrade the people they’re supposed to represent. It’s time to bring the focus back to real issues – rebuilding our economy,  improving affordability, and making sure that parents make the final decision for how to raise their kids.”

Assembly candidate Vinny Panico added, “There’s a ton of energy and excitement here, and we’re going to keep this momentum going forward into the general election.  Our Central Jersey community in Legislative District 16 needs to have their concerns and priorities be heard and represented, not the elite Trenton cocktail circuit crew that’s been calling the shots for Zwicker and Freiman the last few years.”

“Freiman and Zwicker’s record has been full of partisan sneering and preening, and Sadaf Jaffer’s infatuation with AOC and the rest of the squad just doesn’t reflect the common sense mindset of the working families of our district,” said Manville Councilman Joe Lukac. “The people here are tired of the snobbery of the Murphy Party down in Trenton. The people here want to get back to business, back to school, and back to respectful state representatives who won’t look down, dismissively wave away, and vote against them when they stand up for their rights and demand action.
