Somers Point & Haddonfield, NJ – December 13, 2021 – Suasion Communications Group, located in Somers Point and Haddonfield, NJ, was awarded a coveted 2021 New Jersey Tourism Excellence Award from the New Jersey Tourism Industry Association (NJTIA) in the category of Public Relations, for its highly successful campaign promoting Downtown Haddonfield, NJ at the annual New Jersey Tourism Industry Association’s Conference in Atlantic City.

The NJTIA’s Excellence in Tourism Awards recognize the accomplishments of those who achieve true excellence in providing an exceptional experience that enhances tourism across New Jersey.

Suasion partnered with the Partnership for Haddonfield (PfH) and executed a robust 2020-2021 Public Relations campaign to counter-punch the COVID-19 crisis and keep Downtown Haddonfield top-of-mind as a visitor attraction. The campaign was developed to dominate the media with positive stories and secure Haddonfield’s position as the place where family smiles, local camaraderie and fun are always in business. The efforts required the cooperation and attention of local government, volunteers, and businesses.

The public relations campaign consisted of press releases and pitches targeting regional media that promoted Haddonfield as a beautiful, clean, and safe destination that was open for business. Posts on the Downtown Haddonfield social platforms (Instagram & Facebook) were populated with vibrant imagery, videos, hashtags, and custom-designed social media graphics, which grew the Downtown’s social media presence as it engaged and informed visitors daily about the Downtown.
