SULEIMAN STATEMENT ON VAN DREW OBJECTING TO ELECTORAL COLLEGE COUNT

(ABSECON) Atlantic County Democratic Chairman Michael Suleiman released the following statement aout Congressman Jeff Van Drew announcing he will object to the Electoral College count:

“As a political leader and a public policy professional, I rarely use overly-bombastic language to describe elected officials, but what guys like Jeff Van Drew and Josh Hawley are doing to our country is treasonous. Not only does this erode our democracy, but it establishes a frightening precedent where the losing political party will try to subvert the public and overturn the election results.

“How can the United States, as the world’s superpower, promote freedom around the world when our own elected officials want to discard free and fair elections?

“Enough of the polite language. We all have a patriotic duty to call out folks who are blatantly trying to turn our country into an oligarchy.”
