Former Senate President Steve Sweeney issued the following statement today applauding the appointment of Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti as Governor Murphy’s Chief of Staff:

“Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti brings superb management skills to the Chief of Staff’s post. She possesses a deep knowledge of New Jersey and the needs of its various counties and municipalities gained from her years at the New Jersey Turnpike Authority and as head of the state Department of Transportation, NJ Transit, the Turnpike and the South Jersey Transportation Authority. She will serve the governor well in a post that is a perfect capstone to her career in public service.”
