Sweeney Expresses Condolences for Victims of Fatal Train Collision on Raritan Valley Line

Sweeney Expresses Condolences for Victims of Fatal Train Collision on Raritan Valley Line 

Trenton – Senate President Steve Sweeney (D-Gloucester/Salem/Cumberland) issued the following statement in the wake of a collision this morning between an NJ Transit train and a car that killed two people in Middlesex Borough and caused service to be suspended on the Raritan Valley Line:

“I express my deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the two women killed in the crash.

“This morning’s fatal collision between an NJ Transit train and a passenger car in Middlesex Borough is a reminder of the crucial need to ensure rail safety in the most densely populated state in the nation. My heart goes out to all persons involved or affected by this sad and tragic accident.”
