T.C. McCourt, Running For Democratic State Committee, Announces Support of 17 Morris County Democratic Municipal Chairs

DOVER, N.J. – T.C. McCourt, who announced last week that he would seek to fill the Democratic State Committee seat currently held by New Jersey’s next U.S. Attorney Phil Sellinger, has secured the public support of 17 of Democratic municipal chairs in Morris County, with three more pledging their support as committee members.

“I’m honored to have the support of 17 municipal chairs from all across Morris County, people I came to know well, and respect, during my campaign for County Commissioner,” said McCourt.

“These leaders recognize that the person who fills this seat must speak to a new generation of Democratic voters, and be someone who will get to work to expand our majorities in Morris County and across the state. I’m going to do just that.”

McCourt has received public endorsements from the Democratic municipal chairs in Boonton Town, Boonton Township, Butler, Chester Borough, Chester Township, Jefferson, Kinnelon, Lincoln Park, Madison, Montville, Morris Plains, Mountain Lakes, Pequannock, Rockaway Township, Roxbury, Washington Township, and Wharton.

A special convention of the Morris County Democratic Committee will be held in the coming weeks to fill the vacant position. The winner of that convention will serve the balance of the unexpired term, which runs through June 2025.
