Tammy Murphy Receives Endorsement from International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers Local 194

Red Bank, NJ – Tammy Murphy today received an endorsement from the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers Local 194 in her run for U.S. Senate. IFPTE Local 194 is a public sector union representing approximately 1,000 employees of the New Jersey Turnpike in the Maintenance, Tolls, Office, Clerical, and Technical bargaining units. Local 194 is also affiliated with the New Jersey State AFL-CIO and the AFL-CIO.

“Tammy Murphy is a passionate advocate for women and men in the labor movement and understands the values of our hardworking families,” said President Barry Kushnir. “Tammy has always been a proud union supporter – from her work on the New Jersey Council on the Green Economy to create good-paying union jobs in the years ahead, to supporting and training community healthcare workers, nurses, and more through her Nurture NJ initiative, to her efforts to build New Jersey’s growing film industry – she has always looked for ways to include union members and attract good-paying, union jobs to New Jersey. Local 194 is confident that Tammy will continue to partner with us and our union sisters and brothers by supporting pro-worker legislation that supports union organizing, protects retirement benefits and advocates for fair wages when she is in the U.S. Senate.”

“I am grateful to IFTPE Local 194 for their support and endorsement of my campaign,” said Tammy Murphy. “Unions built the middle class and they are the driving engine behind our robust economy. I’m proud to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our union partners as we continue our progress to make New Jersey the best state to live, work, and raise a family.”
