Tammy Murphy Receives Over 40 Endorsements from Local, State, and County Leaders in Monmouth County
RED BANK, NJ – Today, Tammy Murphy received over 40 endorsements from local, state, and county Democratic leaders across Monmouth County in her bid for U.S. Senate.
“Tammy Murphy has been a long-time Monmouth County resident and I cannot overemphasize the significance of having someone who lives and knows Monmouth well in the Senate,” said Rep. Frank Pallone. “Like me Tammy is a progressive. I have been an active member of the Progressive Caucus in Congress much longer than any other elected official in our state. That means we care together about poverty, criminal justice reform, gun safety and the need for our foreign policy to emphasize democracy, human rights, and the rule of law. Tammy will be a great Senator and a fantastic partner to accomplish our goals and improve the quality of life for Monmouth County residents and all New Jerseyans.”
“I’m proud to endorse Tammy Murphy to represent New Jersey in the United States Senate,” said Amy Quinn, Deputy Mayor of Asbury Park. “Tammy is an advocate for reproductive freedom, women and children’s health, LGBTQ rights, and education in general. And she’s a Monmouth County resident. When Senators are allocating federal funds, it matters that Tammy lives here. It matters that she will be New Jersey’s first woman Senator. We benefit from women in government, and the woman to represent us is Tammy Murphy.”
“Monmouth County has been my home since 1998, and I am proud of the grassroots work I have done here whether through helping elect progressive candidates or volunteering at Soul Kitchen and Lunch Break, sitting on the boards of the Count Basie Theater, Rumson Country Day School, and the Monmouth Conservation Foundation, chairing the Monmouth Medical Center Foundation, or even founding what has become our cherished teen helpline at 180 Turning Lives Around,” said Tammy Murphy. “I have raised my family here in Monmouth County and have been deeply engaged with our community since Day One. I am grateful to Congressman Pallone, Asbury Park Deputy Mayor Amy Quinn, and all those who support my campaign for U.S. Senate. Together, we will take on the greatest issues facing all New Jerseyans.”
