Tedesco Visits FlightSafety International Training Facility in Moonachie

(Moonachie)- Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco and his Economic Development team toured the FlightSafety International’s Teterboro Learning Center training facility located in Moonachie, New Jersey.

FlightSafety International, a Berkshire Hathaway company, has operated this facility for more than 35 years and offers a wide range of premier flight training for pilots, flight attendants, and crew members. FlightSafety International provides more than 1.4 million hours of training each year to pilots, technicians and other aviation professionals from 167 countries and independent territories. FlightSafety operates the world’s largest fleet of advanced full-flight simulators at Learning Centers and training locations in the United States, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, South Africa and the United Kingdom. In 2014, FlightSafety International received a Grow New Jersey grant, helping the facility to remain in Bergen County and expand its footprint. More than three thousand FlightSafety International customers visit the Moonachie facility each year, with each averaging ten days of training.

“Bergen County businesses play a critical role in our robust regional economy,” said County Executive Tedesco. “As County Executive, I seek out every opportunity to strengthen relationships between government and the private sector. I was excited to tour FlightSafety International’s impressive training facility and discuss how the company contributes to our economy and shared prosperity.”
