TESTA SLAMS DEMOCRATS’ ENERGY ‘DISASTER’ PLAN AT BPU STAKEHOLDER MEETING
Senator Michael Testa (R-1) testified today at the 2024 Energy Master Plan Stakeholder Meeting and slammed Democrats and the Board of Public Utilities (BPU) for approving and rubber-stamping policies that have directly raised energy costs for New Jerseyans.
“The Energy ‘Disaster’ Plan is a blueprint for higher costs, inefficiency, and a lower quality of life in the Garden State,” said Sen. Testa. “Rather than update the Energy Master Plan, it should be scrapped in its entirety. While I support the mission of championing a cleaner environment, we cannot and should not sacrifice affordability in the process—we have a duty to the ratepayers in the State of New Jersey.”
