“The Journey to Pride” Community Connections Workshop Focuses on LGBTQ+ Community

Virtual Workshop on Oct. 28

SOMERVILLE, NJ – Parents, guardians and professionals who work with teenagers and families are invited to a free Zoom presentation, titled “The Journey to Pride,” being held Friday, Oct. 28, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Community Connections workshop is sponsored by the Somerset County Office of Youth Services. Reginal Rosarion, director of Organizational Development for Tri-County Care Management, will present information about gender identity development, sexual orientation, the LGBTQ+ community and the ASK model (Attitude, Skills and Knowledge) that will help professionals better support young adults who self-identify as a sexual minority.

A panel discussion will include Gary Paul Wright, executive director of the African American Office of Gay Concerns, and Dr. Diana Finkel, director of the Infectious Disease Fellowship program at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.
