Thompson Receives NFIB’s ‘Guardian of Small Business’ Award
Senator Sam Thompson (R-12) has been named a “Guardian of Small Business” by the New Jersey chapter of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB.) Thompson was chosen for this award for consistently advocating for the needs of small business owners statewide.
“Being a ‘guardian of small business’ is a responsibility I take very seriously,” Senator Thompson said. “Small business owners are the lifeblood of our economy. They strengthen communities and create good-paying jobs in every corner of our state. I will continue to do everything I can to ensure that these hardworking people have the resources and opportunities they need to succeed.”
The NFIB represents 325,000 small businesses nationwide and works to support them as they navigate any problems that arise because of taxes, healthcare, regulations and more.
Senator Thompson was named a “Guardian of Small Business,” for “having worked effectively to protect the future of free enterprise and small business in New Jersey,” according to a certificate signed by NFIB New Jersey State Director Laurie Ehlbeck.
“I am very grateful to the NFIB for this award,” Senator Thompson added. “I strongly believe that we can and must do more to reduce regulations and make it more affordable for small business owners to set up shop in New Jersey. They will always have my support.”
