Tinjune Downtown to host Grand Opening at 494 Broad Street on Sept. 13

Newark’s new go-to Asian culinary destination is ready for business.

NEWARK, NJ (September 12, 2023) – Tinjune Downtown, an Asian-inspired culinary destination in Newark’s North End, will officially open its doors at Fidelco Realty Group’s 494 Broad St. on Wednesday, Sept. 13, with a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony. Deemed the restaurant “where dining meets nightlife,” customers can enjoy a host of Asian-inspired dishes from signature dim sum to lobster satay and fried cheesecake.

“We are excited to welcome Tinjune Downtown to our 494 Broad Street community,” said Marc E. Berson, Fidelco Realty Group chairman. “Tinjune will bolster the area’s diverse dining options, and we are confident they will quickly become a go-to destination for diners from all over the state.”

The afternoon will kick off at 2 p.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Mayor Ras Baraka. Foodies and community members alike will then be invited inside to experience Tinjune Downtown’s delicious bites with Asian flavors and a modern flare. Signature dishes include duck dim sum, tomahawk steak, lobster bao buns, and rum bread pudding – but no matter what guests order, they’re sure to receive the freshest local ingredients available.

“I’m thrilled to bring a Black-owned, Asian-inspired restaurant to Essex County,” said Tinjune Downtown’s partner and visionary Tami Brown. “This restaurant was born out of my desire to bring a cuisine that can be enjoyed by all palettes, and with Tinjune Downtown, we’re doing just that.”

Brown credits her dedicated staff and business partner Modia Butler with the launch of Tinjune Downtown’s grand opening. Brown is the behind-the-scenes innovator of several culinary experiences throughout the East Coast – the latest being Tinjune Downtown.

As the sister location of Market Street’s oyster bar, Bar Vanquish, Tinjune Downtown joins an already impressive tenant roster at 494 Broad Street, including Genova Burns LLC, Cooperman College Scholars, SEEDS – Access Changes Everything, The Newark Trust for Education, Leadership Newark, All American Healthcare, 32BJ SEIU, and others.
