TOMORROW: Democrats, First Responders to Hold Press Conference on Republican Proposals to Undermine Public Safety
Washington – On Tuesday, February 28th at 11:00 AM, Chairman Mike Thompson (CA-05) of the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force will hold a press conference with House Democrats, law enforcement officers, and first responders on Republican Proposals to Undermine Public Safety.
Two months into the new Congress, the President and Republicans are pushing two policies that would endanger our communities: deregulating silencers and mandatory national concealed carry reciprocity. Both proposals would imperil law enforcement officers, legal professionals, and first responders. As the eyes of the nation turn to Washington for the President’s Address, Chairman Thompson, lawmakers, and the law enforcement community will call attention to his dangerous agenda.
The event is open to the press and will also be broadcast on Facebook live at https://www.facebook.com/RepMikeThompson/.
