Toms River High School North Students Wins Three Leadership Positions In New Jersey Model Congress

On Friday, the 18th annual New Jersey Model Congress got underway in Trenton. Nearly 300 students from across the state met at the State House Annex to write platforms for their political parties.

Students will meet in Trenton again in March to select Committee and Overall Chairs.

The Congress will be held over a two day period at the end of March. Students will meet on the campus of Rider University to present their bills to Congress.

Toms River High School North did particularly well at Party Day. Their Political and Legal Education Class was well prepared under the guidance of their adviser, Ms. Kim General. The delegation won three party leadership positions.
