Township Council Passes Resolution to Allow Temporary Outdoor Dining
Bridgewater, NJ – At the Bridgewater Township Council Meeting on June 4th, the Council approved a Resolution to allow Bridgewater restaurants to apply for a Temporary Outdoor Dining Permit in conjunction with the Governor’s Executive Order No. 150. This is a relaxation of Township ordinances to allow these businesses to reopen to the full allowable capacity as directed by the Governor.
“I would like to applaud the Council for approving the Resolution that we sent them so quickly,” said Mayor Matthew Moench. “The business community in all sectors has been drastically impacted by COVID-19. The Township needs to be agile in responding to the ever changing regulatory landscape coming from Trenton. Our business community is owed no less from out public servants.”
“Businesses in this community have no time to waste, so neither do we,” said Council President Howard Norgalis. “In this instance or in any other as the State begins to reopen, this Council will act quickly when there is any opportunity to help the small businesses in Bridgewater.”
Restaurants that want to open for outdoor dining on June 15th, will need to fill out the application linked here and remit it accordingly. The full language of the resolution can be found at the bottom of the application.
