Trenton’s Jennifer Williams Announces Her Candidacy for State Assembly in LD15

Jennifer Williams, a life-long Trenton resident and New Jerseyan, has officially announced her candidacy for the Republican nomination for the New Jersey State Assembly in Legislative District 15 covering Mercer County’s Ewing, Hopewell Borough, Hopewell Township, Lawrence, Pennington, Trenton, West Windsor and Hunterdon County’s East Amwell, Lambertville, and West Amwell. Ms. Williams is the current Chair of the Trenton Republican Committee and recently served as Chair of Mercer County Women for Bob Hugin during Mr. Hugin’s U.S. Senate run. She is also a long-time member and former Vice-Chair of the Trenton Zoning Board of Adjustment and serves as an Advisor to the American Unity Fund, I Am Trenton and the Old Mill Hill Society.

A first-time candidate, Ms. Williams received the endorsement of the Mercer County and Hunterdon County Republican Committees at their Conventions. Ms. Williams plans a vigorous and district-wide campaign that will ask for the vote of every LD15 voter, no matter if they are a Republican, Democrat or Independent.

Ms. Williams stated that, “I am running for State Assembly in LD15 because I want to help move New Jersey towards a brighter, more positive future and to once again be a state that people run to… not away from. Today, New Jersey’s economy is falling behind most other U.S. states and its current runaway taxation on top of its out of control costs of living are pushing too many people to create “Exit Plans”. We can start improving our economy by fixing our infrastructure in Hunterdon and Mercer County and, partner with Trenton to fix and improve its Water Works – which supplies water throughout our district. These are just a few of the critical issues we must tackle.

My campaign will work every day to reach every voter we can – no matter their party or no party at all. I believe that my core principles on economics, as well as individual freedom and liberty, are exactly what New Jersey needs and wants. We have never taxed our way to prosperity and to continue these failed ways will only serve to further stratify our state between rich and poor. One only needs to look to the unaffordability of states like California to see New Jersey’s future if we continue on this bankrupting path. All New Jerseyans deserve a fair shot at a good life and I believe that voters will choose positive change and vote for me this year. We will build a better, safer, more equitable New Jersey together… For You and For All of Us.”

The Republican Party Primary for Assembly in LD15 is on Tuesday, June 4th, 2019. Polls are open from 6 am to 8 pm. For more information on Jennifer Williams’ Assembly campaign, please visit www. JenForLD15.com.
