Tucker statement in support of Senator Ronald Rice in response to Senator Scutari

(Newark) – Senator Ronald Rice is a champion of the people. He has dedicated his entire life to serving his country and specifically the people of New Jersey. He has fought tirelessly to ensure that people of color have been afforded access whether in the halls of Trenton or in the streets of his community.

His fight to decriminalize marijuana is about social justice. He is on the right side of history in this quest. His legacy will be that he put justice and equity ahead of profit.

As his Assembly partner in the 28th district, I stand with him. I vehemently condemn Senator Scutari’s disparaging remarks against Senator Rice.
