TUESDAY: Raise New Jersey Coalition to re-launch Fight for $15 Campaign at Historic Paterson Church

Evening of Solidarity and Justice and Fight for $15 re-launch at church where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. encouraged activists to fight for economic justice

 

PATERSON, NJ– On Tuesday, Sept 4th, activists, community organizations, and progressive leaders will gather at the historic First Bethel AME Church in Paterson, where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. spoke at for the Poor People’s Campaign, to re-launch New Jersey’s Fight for $15 Campaign.

 

As the NJ Legislature is poised to adopt a statewide $15 minimum wage by end of the year, activists seek to push for a $15 minimum wage bill for all workers and continue Dr. King’s fight for economic and racial justice.

 

Faith leaders, community leaders, and workers will stand united to call on legislators to raise the wage for all New Jerseyans.
