MAYOR DON GUARDIAN

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (September 26, 2017) – UNITE HERE Local 54 officially endorsed Mayor Don Guardian.

In a written statement, UNITE HERE Local 54 said:

The Political Action Committee of Unite Here Local 54 met recently and considered candidates running for office on Tuesday November 7th. After thoughtful and thorough deliberation, the Committee endorses Don Guardian (R) for Mayor of Atlantic City.

The Local 54 Political Action Committee encourage members of Local 54 and their friends and family to support our endorsed candidates on November 7th.

“I proudly accept our endorsement from Local 54,” said Mayor Don Guardian. “I stood tall with their workers when the casinos closed, I walked with them when they were striking, and now I run with them towards a brighter future. Together we are Rebuilding Atlantic City!”

UNITE HERE Local 54 has been representing hospitality workers in the Atlantic City area for over 100 years. Members work as housekeepers, bartenders, cocktail servers, cooks, bellmen, doormen, and other service jobs in the casinos and hospitality industry of South Jersey. With almost 10,000 members, Local 54 is the largest private sector union in South Jersey.
