United Airlines continues to overhaul cleaning and safety
United Airlines continues to overhaul our cleaning, safety and social distancing procedures – at the airport and onboard our aircraft.
Starting today, we are rolling out two, new initiatives:
- Hand wipes: We are giving every customer an individually wrapped hand-sanitizing wipe on our planes, providing another layer of protection and additional peace of mind that the plane they’re boarding will be safe and sanitary.
- We are piloting new, touchless kiosks for customers who wish to print their own baggage tags. We’re kicking off with Chicago-O’Hare, Boston, Dallas-Fort Worth and Orlando to test the process and gather feedback from our customers and employees. In the coming weeks, we’ll be rolling out touchless check-in to the rest of our locations around the world.
This b-roll shows some of these efforts in action and includes comments from our Chief Communications Officer, Josh Earnest – https://www.dropbox.com/sh/dnw44lp9bdm5yk5/AADysaPBraEPxDQ-QYtErwuJa?dl=0
These measures are in addition to the comprehensive list of policies and procedures we’ve put in place including the use of electrostatic sprayers and requiring customers and crew to wear masks onboard.
