Urban League of Morris County Chairman George Martin Endorses Dawkins for State Senate

MORRISTOWN, NJ — George Martin, Chairman of the Urban League of Morris County, has endorsed Cliff Dawkins for State Senate. The Urban League of Morris County provides education, scholarships, housing, youth mentorship, and job preparation to the underprivileged in Morris, Sussex, Warren and Somerset Counties. Martin is a veteran of the Vietnam War, has 30 years of experience as a corporate executive, served on the Madison Board of Education for 8 years, and is the Chief Executive Officer of Veterans Call Center. Dawkins serves on the Board of Directors of the Urban League of Morris County alongside Martin.

“Running for State Senate should not simply be the next step in someone’s political career. Our State Senate oversees an over $40 billion budget and implements critical legislation that has life-altering effects on the millions of New Jersey residents they represent,”  Martin stated. “This role should not be taken lightly. It requires a mind capable of understanding and implementing complex policy, a heart committed to service, and hands that are willing to do the required work. Cliff Dawkins is a Democratic Candidate for State Senate in the LD25 Special Election. Dawkins is an attorney specializing in Labor and Employment law. He also serves on several professional organization and nonprofit boards, including the Urban League of Morris County, the Garden State Bar Association-Young Lawyers Division, the National Bar Association-Young Lawyers Division, and the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on Civil Practice.

Cliff Dawkins resides in Rockaway Borough with his wife and their two children.
