UTCA STATEMENT ON $300 MILLION IN FEDERAL FUNDING FOR NJ TRANSIT IMPROVEMENTS

Wall – Utility and Transportation Contractors Association (UTCA) Executive Director David Rible issued the following statement today regarding the announcement that New Jersey will receive $300 million in federal funds to make improvements to NJ Transit:

“We appreciate the action of our federal delegation and the Biden Administration and for recognizing how sorely needed these federal dollars are. These funds will help make badly needed infrastructure improvements to NJ Transit, a necessity given how vital a link we are to the Northeast Corridor. Moreover, investment in transportation has proven time and again to be among the smartest investments we can make. It keeps us safer, allows our economy to prosper and ultimately saves dollars down the road.”
