VERRELLI MEMORIALIZES ENDORSEMENTS BY SEVERAL ORGANIZATIONS

TRENTON, NJ — Assemblyman Anthony S. Verrelli (15 th Legislative District) is humbled to memorialize today endorsements of his 2019 General Assembly candidacy by the following organizations:

● Garden State Equality
● Health Professionals and Allied Employees (HPAE)
● International Union of Operating Engineers Local Union 825 (IUOE LU825)
● National Association of Social Workers (NASW)

Garden State Equality first announced its endorsement of Verrelli in September 2019. “I will always stand up for the LGBTQIA+ community,” said Verrelli. “ All New Jerseyans deserve to be treated with respect and dignity – regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. We must do everything in our power to ensure that the LGBTQIA+ community is protected and receives fair treatment under the law. It is an honor to be endorsed by Garden State Equality , and I will continue to advocate for their 150,000 members on the floor of the General Assembly.”

Health Professionals and Allied Employees (HPAE) announced its endorsement of Verrelli on 03 October 2019. “When we New Jerseyans are in need of care at our hospitals, we rely on the nurses, social workers, therapists, technicians, medical researchers, and other healthcare professionals who make up HPAE ,” said Verrelli . These professionals do work every day that is both physically taxing and that requires a mastery of clinical best-practices. I am so grateful for the endorsement of my 2019 candidacy by HPAE .”

International Union of Operating Engineers Local Union 825 announced its endorsement of Verrelli in September 2019. “I am honored to be endorsed by Operating Engineers Local 825 ,” said Assemblyman Verrelli. “I will continue to work towards our shared goals of safeguarding and enhancing workers’ rights, modernizing our infrastructure, and renewing our commitment to developing cleaner, more sustainable methods by which to meet New Jersey’s energy needs. The unwavering commitment to creating well-paying union jobs by the members of Operating Engineers Local 825 strengthens New Jersey’s economy and improves our working families’ quality of life.”

The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) – New Jersey Chapter announced its endorsement of Verrelli on 14 October 2019. “Social workers support New Jerseyans every day. When we need physical and mental healthcare, information about community resources, or to start a conversation about getting help, we rely on our social workers. The 6,500-plus members of the NASW – New Jersey Chapter help to assure that the most vulnerable New Jerseyans have the opportunity to live healthier, happier lives. The endorsement of my candidacy by the NASW – New Jersey Chapter means a great deal to me, and I thank all its members for the work they do on behalf of my constituents and all New Jerseyans.”
