VIRTUAL TOWN HALL MEETING TO DISCUSS WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE IN THE CURRENT CRISIS (UPDATED)

The People’s Organization For Progress will have a virtual town hall meeting to discuss “After the April 4th March for Voting Rights, Equality, Democracy, and Peace: Where Do We Go From Here?”

The virtual town hall will take place Sunday, May 15th, 2022 at 2:00pm, and will be broadcast live on the People’s Organization for Progress (Photos/Videos) Facebook page.

Those who wish to attend this virtual town hall are asked to register in advance at https://bit.ly/POPTownhallMay15

The program is a follow-up to the march that was held last month on the 54th anniversary of the assassination Dr Martin Luther King.

The march was sponsored by People’s Organization For Progress and was endorsed by 139 organizations.

“We held the march in order to draw attention to critical issues facing the country. So, what do we do next? This forum will attempt to answer that question,” stated Lawrence Hamm, Chairman, People’s Organization For Progress.

Panelists for the program will include:
Charles Hall, president of Retail Warehouse Department Store Union Local 108; Maria Lopez Nunez, Ironbound Community Corporation; Ronsha Dickerson, Camden Parents Union; Kevin Pierre, NJ Chapter Poor People’s Campaign; Cuqui Rivera, Latino Action Network; Atalaya Armstrong, community activist; Sue Altman, NJ Working Family Alliance, Reva Foster, President, NJ Black Issues Convention; Jasmine Jones, NAACP Youth Division; Steven Young, South Jersey Chapter National Action Network; Hetty Rosenstein, formerly of the Communications Workers of America; Zayid Muhammad, Newark Communities for Accountable Policing (NCAP); Kason Little, Black Lives Matter – Elizabeth; and Lawrence Hamm, Chairman, People’s Organization For Progress. The program will be moderated by Josie Gonsalves, Public Square Amplified.

The topic for this forum was inspired by the title of Dr. King’s book, “Where Do We Go From Here? Community or Chaos?”
