Vitale Bill to Transfer Land Parcel Ownership from State to Woodbridge Signed by Governor

TRENTON – Legislation sponsored by Senator Joseph F. Vitale that authorizes the State Treasurer to sell a parcel of state surplus real estate in the Township of Woodbridge to the Township was signed into law by Governor Murphy today.

“I’m happy that this expanse of land which lies within the Woodbridge boundaries is now under the township’s control to make use of it in a way that is most beneficial to the community,” said Senator Vitale (D-Middlesex).  “It will be developed according to the town’s vision and contribute to its vitality.”

More than 54 acres known as the Woodbridge Developmental Center will be purchased by the Township for $5 million in accordance with the terms and conditions approved by the State House Commission.
