Vitale Statement on Vaping Task Force Recommendations

Trenton – Senate Health, Human Services and Senior Citizens Committee Chair Senator Joseph Vitale issued the following statement on the recommendations of Governor Murphy’s Electronic Smoking Device Task Force:

“I am encouraged by the strong and thorough recommendations the Governor’s Task Force provided the Legislature today. These are in line with legislation that moved through the Senate Health Committee this fall, which would remove tobacco products and e-cigarettes from pharmacies and outlaw the use of coupons or promotions in order to purchase certain smoking products.

“Thanks to the overwhelming support of the Governor, the Senate President, and my colleagues in the Legislature I am confident that we will be able to take swift and comprehensive action to combat this emerging public health crisis.”
