VOTE MAMA ENDORSES CHRISTINE CLARKE FOR NEW JERSEY SENATE
NEW YORK — Vote Mama, the first PAC focused solely on electing Democratic moms, today announced its endorsement of Christine Clarke for New Jersey Senate.
“I am beyond proud to once again endorse Christine Clarke, a trailblazing mother of four, this time for New Jersey Senate,” said Liuba Grechen Shirley, Vote Mama’s Founder and CEO. “Solving the issues women, children, and families are facing today, especially during this pandemic, requires a mother’s perspective, and when mamas like Christine run, they show the world that running for office is just another thing mothers are capable of. Christine’s commitment to improving access to healthcare, expanding economic opportunity, protecting our climate, and improving education for our children is unrivaled, and I know she will work tirelessly to build a future all of our kids deserve.”
“As a mother of four school-aged children, I am well acquainted with the unique challenges presented to women who run while their children are young, as well as the policy priorities that make our candidacies necessary for fair representation in legislatures nationwide,” said Christine Clarke. “I am honored to receive Vote Mama’s endorsement and committed to supporting policies that serve New Jersey’s families well.”
Women, and particularly moms of young children, face unique challenges when running for office. Vote Mama seeks to increase the political power of moms by stepping in to disrupt the systems that hold women back through direct financial support, mentorship, and endorsements. As with all of Vote Mama’s endorsed candidates, Christine Clarke supports family-friendly legislation and is committed to making this country a better place to raise children.
