Warren County Board of Commissioners to Hold New Year’s First
Meeting with Livestream on Jan. 2, 2021

(BELVIDERE, NJ, Dec. 29, 2020) – Warren County’s governing body will reorganize
with a new name and a new member at 12 noon on Saturday, January 2, 2021 in a meeting that
will be livestreamed and available to the public in a telephone conference call as well.

After 196 years as a Board of Chosen Freeholders, the governing body will be known as
the Board of Commissioners, a change required by state law. Lori Ciesla of Lopatcong is to take
the oath of office for a three-year term before she and fellow Commissioners James R. Kern III
and Jason J. Sarnoski proceed with the annual beginning-of-the-year business.

The meeting will be held in historic Courtroom No. 1 of the Warren County Courthouse
in Belvidere. However, due to the potential impacts of the COVID-19 coronavirus and out of the
concern for the safety of the public, the meeting will be conducted without spectators physically
present.

The meeting in its entirety will be available to the public as a livestream video broadcast
on Vimeo.com and by telephone using CenturyLink Ready-Access audio conferencing services.

“Reorganization meetings are always exciting times but due to the pandemic, we have
decided to make some changes for everyone’s health and safety,” said Freeholder Kern, who is
in line to be named the board’s director for 2021. “This year we invite the public to attend our
meeting virtually. There is certainly light at the end of the tunnel and we hope to be with you all
in person soon,” Kern added.
